VORSANGER
A large jet zooms overhead and lands at Pierre Trudeau International Airport. As the camera angle lowers to street level, we see two large buses stopped in the passenger pickup area. Beside the buses, ninety well groomed men, identically dressed, with matching dark blue jackets and nametags with German surnames, matching haircuts, and sunglasses, load 90 identical suitcases into the cargo holds with military precision. Forty five men load into each bus, quietly, efficiently. One of them men appears to be the leader. His nametag reads “Vorsanger”. Vorsanger blows a whistle and they instantly fall back into two identical lines on the curb beside each bus. He shouts, in German. Beriet! (Ready!) He pauses. You can feel an eerie tension. Zusammen! Gehen wir! (Together! Let’s go!) Swiftly and quietly, the men load single file into the buses. The door closes and the buses pull away from the curb, we watch as they merge into traffic. In the distance, we can see the Montreal skyline.
