OPENING AIRPORT SEQUENCE SC1 EXT. REGIONAL AIRPORT DROP-OFF - PRE-DAWN Rain hangs in the sodium glow as a quiet sedan rolls to the curb. MICHAEL RAMSEY steps out, scanning the terminal doors before he reaches for a weathered carry-on. MICHAEL RAMSEY Keep the engine warm. If this goes wrong, I want the road open. BRANT You always say that when it might finally go right. Inside the terminal, LONDON glides past the security queue with a folded itinerary tucked inside her coat. She clocks Michael but keeps moving. LONDON You are three minutes late and already making the room nervous. SC2 INT. AIRPORT PUB - MORNING The breakfast crowd hums under muted televisions. HONEYBOWL KRUGER takes the back booth, a bright scarf cutting through the tired room. Brant slides in opposite while Michael stands watch at the bar. HONEYBOWL KRUGER Nobody trusts a meeting before sunrise unless the news is expensive. BRANT Then let's make sure the bill lands somewhere else. Michael turns as London joins them with a coffee and a thin smile. LONDON We have one window, one handoff, and no appetite for improvisation.
